This page contains walkthroughs for side quests that can be unlocked in Holland Valley.
Some of them are available right away while others require you to, e.g.
capture a cult outpost first or to meet an important NPC during a story mission.
More information about that can be found in their respective walkthroughs.
Bear Necessities
How to unlock:Capture the outpost inGardenview Packing Facility.
That place is located west ofRae-Rae’s Pumpkin Farm.
Rescue the hostages and speak with one of them.
One of the NPCs will inform you about a problem with bears.
Head to the garden marked on your map.
You have to kill 3 bears.
Travel with a powerful ally and use either a shotgun or a heavy machine gun.
The first bear is easy to find.
you could reach the other bear by following corpses and blood trails.
The last animal hides in the cave presented in the picture.
Rewards for completing the mission: $830, 100 resistance points.
Baptism of Fire
How to unlock:Find the place where stunts are performed.
Interact with it to start this trial.
You have to reach checkpoints before time runs out.
Luckily for you, each new checkpoint restores a little bit of the time.
Rewards for completing this mission: Uncle Sam(a stunt vehicle),$750,200 resistance points.
Spray and Pray
How to unlock:Examine the stunts location.
Interact with the stand to unlock this stunt trial.
You have to fly a plane and complete the course before the time runs out.
This is a difficult trial that requires a knowledge onFar Cry 5’s flying system.
Don’t fly too slow because you will run out of time.
The regular checkpoints require you to simply fly through them.
The ones with a shield (see the picture 2) have to be shot with a turret first.
Don’t let the time run out.
However, the time limit is partially replenished every time when you fly through a checkpoint.
Uncrate
How to unlock:Liberate the outpost inUS Auto.
The best opportunity to recapture that place is duringDeath Wishmain quest.
Find the NPC in US Auto who can give you this mission.
One of the NPCs in the outpost tells you about missing members of the resistance.
You have to investigate three areas, all in the same location.
Two of them are containers - destroy padlocks to open them.
Be careful while you are investigating the container from the picture 1 becausethere is a bear inside of it.
you could place traps before you open it or you could simply use heavy weaponry and kill that animal.
One of the missing resistance members is in the locked room in the main building.
Free that person by findingWashroom Keypresented in the picture 2.
Rewards for completing this mission: $800,100 resistance points.
Your task is to attack and destroy three convoys that can be found in this region.
You should also look to see if you happen to have a vehicle equipped with weapons (e.g.
The Widowmaker truck acquired after completing one of the story missions).
Another important thing is to take a good specialist with you - preferably Hurk Drubman Junior.
Your first targets should be the vehicles with turrets mounted on their roofs.
Rewards for completing this mission: $1,500,200 resistance points.
The quest giver should stand somewhere near the church.
Your objective is to save a few people.
Head to theDock.Remain undetected throughout the entire mission - otherwise you will fail this quest.
Use weapons with a silencer, a crossbow and stealth takedowns.
Grace can also help you in this mission.
You won’t fail it if she gets detected and attacked.
Use height advantage to eliminate your enemies or slide down the rope.
Save the hostages only after you secure the area.
You have to rescue 3 people but reaching them won’t complete the mission.
You have totake them to a safe place.
Prepare yourself to face more cultists and wild animals while you are on your way.
Rewards for completing this mission: $770,100 resistance points.
It’s the first of two side missions related to that event.
Go toHyde’s Barnand speak toKenny Hyde.
He will tell you that the key to the barn was swallowed by a vulture.
Use assault rifle or other weapon to shoot down the vultures flying above the farm.
Examine the remains of each bird.
TheHyde’s keyshould be near the corpse of the last vulture.
Use the key to initiate the barn.
Destroy the lock on the interior door in the barn and enter the pick-up.
You must reach the Fall’s End andthe trailer must remain attached to the vehicle.
Stick to roads and avoid hitting large trees or other indestructible obstacles.
Don’t get too close to bypassed cultists.
Park the car in the marked place.
Rewards for completing the mission: 700 dollars, 200 resistance points.
Speak withCasey FixmaninFall’s Endagain after you reach the city in his pick-up.
Go toDavenpoty Farmlocated west from the city.
Firstget to the enclave with cows.
Destroy the lock and free the animals.
The action will resume after the event ends.
you’re free to shoot the balloons on the scarecrow with a bow.
Spend some time on learning how the crosshair works - this will increase your chances for victory.
Quest will end even if you fail to destroy all balloons before the time runs out.
Rewards for completing the mission: 1425 dollars, 200 resistance points, new shirt (Testicle Festival).
You will be informed that you’re able to destroycult’s property.
An examplesilothat you could destroy is presented on the above picture - there are14silo to destroy in Holland Valley.
Once you reach the object, it is best to use rocket launcher or remote explosive to destroy them.
The hunt must take place in the southern part of Holland Valley.
It is best to reach the swamps in a boat.
What makes things harder is the fact that Bliss had spread across the swamps.
The drug will cause hallucinations.
Once the creature dies, the quest will end.
Rewards for completing the mission: 850 dollars, 100 resistance points.
Special Delivery
How to unlock:Automatically afterWingmanandThe Quality of Mercymain quests.
ReachRye & Sons Aviationand enter the house.
You learn that Kim is about to give a birth.
Your task is to take both Kim and Nick toHope County Clinicbefore the time runs out.
you might restore a little bit of that time by reaching the “checkpoints”.
This mission is easy.
Stick to the main roads, avoid collisions with obstacles on the roads (tractors, hay etc.)
and listen to Nick’s orders by turning either left or right on the crossroads.
Drive on a ramp in the final part.
Golden Age Nostalgia
How to unlock:Speak withNadine AbercrombieinDodd Residence.
You learn that she is interested in comic books and that she wants to have a collection of them.
Find12 comic book volumesand bring them to Nadine.
Comic books are one of the collectibles available inFar Cry 5.
Rewards for completing this mission: $900, 200 resistance points.
One of the people in the liberated outpost informs you about cows that have escaped from the farm.
You have to bring them back.
Go to the field with3 cows.
Stand east from them to “convince” the animals to move west or you could pat them.
Firearms aren’t recommended - it’s possible for you to kill one of the cows by accident.
Rewards for completing this mission: $750, 100 resistance points.
What They Carried
How to unlock:Speak withWendell RedlerinRedler Residence.
Redler Residenceis located east fromFall’s EndinHolland Valley.
You learn that he collects Vietnamese lighters.
you’re free to help him in collecting these items - the objective is to find12 lighters.
Lighters are one of the collectibles inFar Cry 5.
Water Works
How to unlock:Capture the cult outpost inSunrise Farm.
Find the NPC that will give you this quest.
The first objective is to get3 Irrigation Pieces.
Take these parts to the places marked by the game.
Watch out for bears and other wild animals that can appear on the farm.
Rewards for completing this mission: $700, 100 resistance points.
Patriot Acts
How to unlock:Speak withWillis HuntleynearHoward’s Cabin.
Willis Huntleyis the quest giver for this mission.
you’re free to find him near the vantage point next toHoward’s Cabin.
This location is nearRae-Rae’s Pumpkin Farm, south-west from it (see the picture above).
Unlock the quest and get inside Willis' car.
Wait until you reachLincoln Lookout Tower.
Secure this place - watch out for the sniper on the lookout tower’s balcony.
After that you have to meet with Williams inside of the tower.
This is the most difficult part of the mission.You have to follow an enemy helicopter.
The game suggests you to use the Wingsuit but this requires the related perk.
Thequad, presented in the picture, is a better choice.
Avoid hitting trees and give a shot to stick to paths or roads.
The helicopter reachesBoyd Residence.Hide somewhere to remain undetectedand wait for the mission to update.
Your destination is the cultists' hideout.
Start attacking the enemies (make a run at detonate the red barrel in the right moment).
Go down into the bunker and find theVHS Tape.
It lies on one of the shelves.
There, you could also find oneperk book(it adds 1 perk point).
Go back to the surface and give the tape to Willis to complete this mission.
Rewards for completing this mission:a newskinforSMG-11,$860, 200 resistance points.
