you’ve got the option to start this mission in Riften at the Bee and Barb inn.
You have to speak with Sibbi, who has been imprisoned in jail.
Then you have to sneak into Black-Briar Lodge and steal a horse named Frost.
Activating the quest
While you’re inRiften, visitThe Bee and Barb inn.
In the corner of the main room you will see a balding man -Louis Letrush.
Eventually however he was thrown in jail and doesn’t acknowledge the agreement anymore.
He did however receive initial payment, therefore the whole case isn’t finished.
You should head to the jail, speak toSibbiand explain the case.
New main objective: Speak to Sibbi Black-Briar
Head out ofThe Bee and Barband go toRiften Jail.
Head inside and you will be stopped by aGuard.
to get pass him, you will need to either bribe or persuade him.
Having solved the problem, go to the cell whereSibbiis.
Formally, the horse belong to his mother, Maven Black-Briar, who most of the town fears.
Revenge is a dish best served cold and Maven will take hers after you finish the quest.
The prisoner obviously cannot bring the horse to the buyer - but you’re able to.
You will have to steal the horse’s (Frost) lineage papers and then the animal itself.
The horse is also there.
Afterwards head out of the building.
New main objective: Steal Frost
Stealing thehorsecannot be done quietly.
Sneaking by doesn’t make sense - theenemieswill notice you as soon as you get on the horse.
Therefore it’s best to just quickly run to the stable and jump onto the mount.
The first implies going toMaven Black-Briarand telling her of everything.
Therefore it’s best to return to themanand give him the horse.
This solution has a couple options as well.
If you just hand him over the horse, you will receive a payment ingold.
Threatening him with death will have the same result.
