What should I focus on after launching Surviving Mars for the first time?

They are responsible for building new objects, building maintenance and resource transport.

Resource deposits are not infinite
Press LMB on a deposit to check its amount.
Use this trick to calculate whether or not it’s worth to invest in extraction.
Connect your infrastructure with cables.
The same goes for water and oxygen supply systems.
