This section lists all the achievements available in The Banner Saga 3.

Valuable Note:Unlocking Achievements/Trophies in the game is additionally rewarded with points of fame/experience (Renown).

Notes:This trophy is only available for PlayStation 4.

An Honored Guest

How to unlock:You must talk to King Meinolf in Chapter 16.

Notes:The meeting with the king takes place at the end of this chapter.

PC

You don’t have to try hard to get the audience.

Apostate

How to unlock:You have to defeat three enemies with Apostate.

Notes:Apostate is a dredge travelling with a group led by Iver, Juno and Eyvind.

PC

Use his skills to defeat any three enemies.

In the chapter 20 you will get the same screen as presented in the picture above.

The game informs youforhow long Arberrang can defend itself while Iver’s caravan is moving towards The White Tower.

PC

Things that count:

In our case we got 15 days of siege.

This isn’t enough time - you need at least 25 days.

That is not all -don’t waste your time in the chapter 21.

PC

Bulwark

How to unlock:You have to defeat three enemies with a Bulwark.

Commentary:Bastion is one of the playable Dredges.

Add him to your party and defeat three enemies with this character.

PC

The event presented in the picture above should trigger when you are on your way to the great gate.

The caravan can be stopped by a woman who accuses you of murdering the Dredges.

Your choice determines how many new people can join your caravan.

PlayStation

Choose the second option (the one highlighted in the picture above) and you will get 112 clansmen.

Castaway

How to unlock:You have to defeat three enemies as Castaway.

ask the witch Alfrun to persuade the Castaway to join the team.

Xbox

From this moment on, you’re able to put the dredge into combat (picture 2).

After that, defeat any three enemies by using her.

Double Blind

How to unlock:You have to take a distorted Sundra to the other side.

Nintendo

Commentary:you’re able to kill Warped Sundr during the chapter 21.

You must participate in a battle in a basement.

The Sundr related to this achievement isWarped Eyelesspresented in the picture above.

The Banner Saga 3

The game counts Dredges who have survived up until chapter 22, the game’s finale.

Notes:This achievement excludes the unlocking ofDredge Slayertrophy.

Dredge Slayer

How to unlock:All dredges have to die and mustn’t be left alive.

Notes:This achievement excludes the unlocking ofDredge Lovertrophy.

All Dredges should be dead before you reach chapter 22, the game’s finale.

All your caravan members will die (including the Dredges) except the main characters.

Eww

How to unlock:You have to find the lost treasure in the dark.

Notes:you’re able to unlock this achievement in chapter 19 of the game.

Shortly after you leave menhir, the event in the picture above should start about finding the eggs.

Fighting to Live

How to unlock:You have to persevere in defense to the very end.

Commentary:This achievement is tied to chapter 21.

You have to return to Arberrang five times.

You also have to win a battle every time you return to that town.

You go back to Arberrang when Iver’s caravan runs out of the days limit.

Simply eliminate all enemies from one wave and then leave the battlefield.

How to unlock:You have to get to the Dredge’s Godstone.

Note:This achievement is unlocked automatically during chapter 21.

The caravan led by Iver, Juno and Eyvind encounter Godstone Dredge.

Break a camp near that place to unlock this achievement.

Notes:you’re able to talk to the allies while in the city and in the camp.

An example of a place, where conversations are available is pictured above.choose the character icons to start talking.

Guided

How to unlock:You have to finish the game without losing any heroes.

Not all choices in the game are obvious.

We recommend you completed the game with our guideand read all the messages the game gives you.

In case anyone dies, you’re able to load an earlier savegame.

Hard Difficulty

How to unlock:You have to finish the game on Hard.

Notes: Choose the hard difficulty right at the beginning and don’t ever change it during the playthrough.

Notes:The argument with the centaurs takes place in chapter 16.

The caravan will be halted by a mob, with which you will have to fight.

Get rid of them and don’t attack other villagers.

Confirm your choice and ignore Oddleif’s protests.

Commentary:Rook or Alette can’t die during regular battles.

Notes:The achievement can be unlocked for any hero.

Use them in the fights and always spend points on them first.

If you still have trouble with the hardest battles, consider playing the game on easy.

Notes: Choose the normal difficulty right at the beginning and don’t ever change it during the playthrough.

you could give a shot to do this during the first playthrough - this is the recommended difficulty.

Pacified

How to unlock:You have to ensure eternal rest for Bolverk.

Note:Bolverk is the final boss.

The fight with him takes place in chapter 21 when Iver’s caravan reaches The White Tower.

Check out our walkthrough if you want to know how to defeat Bolverk.

Commentary:Juno travels with Iver’s caravan.

Use her in any of the battles.

Start with placing 4 other characters next to her (they have to stand on adjacent tiles).

As Juno, use Weaved Energy on any of the allies.

Thanks to that the spell will be passed on to 3 other characters.

Notes:You need the artifacts that provide new skills after they’re applied.

They’re highlighted in yellow in the item description - see above.

Give the same character a hero’s title that grants a new ability.

Peace Offering

How to unlock:You have to give the dredges their child back.

Rook/Alette won’t die - they will hand the child over to the Dredges.

After that you will unlock this achievement.

Poetic Justice

How to unlock:You have to listen to Aleo waxing poetic.

Restless

How to unlock:Don’t give the Ravens even a minute of rest.

Notes:The Ravens travel with the group led by Iver, Juno, and Eyvind.

You assume control over that caravan in chapter 17 for the first time.

The achievement will require you to ignore the rest option, which appears every time you set the camp.

Rings a Bell

How to unlock:Don’t learn the lesson the first time.

Ruined

How to unlock:You have to defeat the Ruin in battle.

Notes:Ruin is one of the two bosses in the game.

You face her around the end of chapter 18.

Scrivener

How to unlock:You have to defeat three enemies with Ubin.

Notes:Varl Ubin is not available by default.

He may join the caravan led by Rook or Alette.

You don’t have to defeat the three enemies in a single battle.

Shipped

How to unlock:You have to accept the offer.

Notes:This enigmatic achievement concerns romancingOddleif.

At the end of chapter 16, you will have to talk to Petrus and Oddleif.

Shortcut

How to unlock:You have to safely make it to Ridgehorn.

Notes:You reach Ridgehorn at the end of chapter 19.

The achievement is unlocked when you enter the ruined city.

Sole Survivor

How to unlock:You have to exile Juno forever.

Commentary:This achievement is tied with one of the main endings.

Lose the battle with Bolverk (chapter 21) and then kill Eyvind in chapter 22.

Talk It Out

How to unlock:You have to convince Eyvinda to make the right choice.

Commentary:This achievement is tied with the game’s endings.

Then, you have to convince the man.

More details about the endings can be found on the page dedicated toChapter 22.

The Saga Concludes

How to unlock:Import your save fromThe Banner Saga 2.

Commentary:This achievement is available only in the PC version of the game.

You need saves fromThe Banner Saga 2.

Thin Ice

How to unlock:You have to survive the journey on the frozen sea.

Commentary:This achievement should be unlocked automatically during chapter 21.

Iver’s caravan must cross the frozen sea.

Trapped

How to unlock:You have to trap two enemies in craters.

Commentary:Sinkholes appear in the first battle of chapter 21 - see the picture above.

For this battle you have to pick characters with skills that can push enemies.

Wait for an enemy to stop near a tile with a sinkhole.

Use this method to stop two Warped.

Warmonger

How to unlock:You have to fight 30 battles in one playthrough.

Notes:To get this one, you have to search for chances for additional battles.

These can happen, for example, when one of the characters wants to attack encountered enemies.

Check the rest of our guide for detailed information about possible battles.

You have to complete 30 battles in one playthrough, so keep this in mind since the very beginning.

We Made It

How to unlock:You have to join the splintered family.

Commentary:This achievement requires you to make specific choices.

Notes:Alfrun the witch can join the group led by Iver, Juno, and Eyvind.

This can happen at the beginning of chapter 17, right after the first battle with the Warped.

You don’t have to do anything particular - just recruit her.

Witch

How to unlock:You have to defeat three enemies with Alfrun.

Notes:Alfrun travels with the group led by Iver, Juno, and Eyvind.

The first opportunity to use her in battle is in chapter 17.

Use her abilities to defeat three enemies.

Worse for Wear

How to unlock:Don’t let Folka lose her head because of Bolverk.

Notes:This achievement requires you to make the right decision during the confrontation with Bolverk.

This happensat the end of chapter 19.

Otherwise, Bolverk will kill her.

Young Love

How to unlock:Do you like me?

Oh, yes / Oh, no.

In chapter 21you have to go back to Arberrang three times.

Meet withEgilduring the third visit.

Choose the dialog options that are on the top.

Soon, the game will allow you to kiss Egil on the cheek - see the picture above.

Select this option to unlock the achievement.
