Get a valuable weapon or armor.
In our case we had a weapon called Energy Gun - its value is 90 auryte.
This weapon is carried by almost all Technomagi soldiers as well as numerous bandits.
Find a lone enemy and kill him with a backstab to avoid confrontation.
Keep doing that until the values of both sides are equal.
Sadly, bought items can weight a lot.
A better solution is to go to a merchant who offers lighter (and more expensive) syringes.
For example, a default price for one small syringe that restores health is 18 auryte.
The aforementioned weapon is worth 5 of these syringes - they will weight pretty much nothing.
