The more likely scenario is that you’re going to come acrossBryan Wilks.
Head over toGrayditchwhen you’re ready to take care of theantproblem.
Once you’ve reachedGrayditchyou’ll have to be ready to get rid of a lot offire ants.
They’re hard to kill, especially if you visit this location early during the course of the game.
You may try using variousassault riflesagainst them, however I would recommend switching tofrag grenadesandlandmines.
FindWilk’s houseand enter it to find out what has happened toBryan’s father.
It won’t take you too long to find body ofFred Wilks.
Examine the body, as well as the rest of the house.
You will find achinese assault rifleamongst other things.
Go outside.Wilksis taking cover inside a tall shelter near the diner (screen).
ensure that you’ve checked the container behind the diner.
I would only like to remind you that you could obtain akeyfor this stash fromBryan.
There are a lot offrag grenadesinside the dumpster and obviously you should start using them against theants.
it’s possible for you to also visit a smallshackwhich is located near the shelter.
to open it you would have to use akeyobtained fromFred’sbody.

Go back toGrayfieldand proceed south.
Find the entrance to theMarigold stationand use the stairs to get to the subway.
Other dangers are waiting for you in the tunnel, because you’ll be going againstfire ants.

Try opening the door and you’ll be greeted byDoctor Lesko(assuming you don’t know him).
Talk to thescientistand listen to his ideas on how to solve the problem with theants.
If you decide to killLesko, you must use his terminal to open a door to thehatchery.
Proceed to the southern door and travel toMarigold station - hatchery.
There’s only one passageway leading to thequeen’shatchery, so you’ve got the option to’t get lost.
Obviously you’ll be dealing withfire antsalong the way.
I have to warn you, because you’ll come across stronger variations of thesecreatures.
You will probably have to kill at least two out of fiveguardiansmentioned byLesko.
Once you’ve reached the nest (screen) you’ll have to decide how to act next.
it’s possible for you to kill thequeenusing your most powerful guns.
Even then it’s nothing to be an easy assignment.
It’s important that you keep moving.
you’ve got the option to use the terminal which is located to the right of thequeen.
In this case you might approveLesko’sdecision or you might destroy the mutagen which will cancel his plans.
If you want to followLesko’sinstructions ignore thequeenentirely and eliminate all the remainingguardians.
Thankfully, even if you killed thequeenor (not AND!!)
If you chooseAnt Mightyourstrength will increase by one pointand if you chooseAnt Sightyourperception will increase by 1 point.
You may go back toGrayditch.
FindBryan Wilksagain and talk to him.
If you ask him about relatives, he will mention that hiscousin Veralives inRivet City.
This isn’t the only solution, but the most obvious one.Veracan be found inRivet City - upperdeck.
Talk toVeraand inform her aboutBryan’ssituation (screen).
She will gladly agree to having him over.
Return toGrayfieldand inform theboyabout your progress.
If you don’t want to go toVerayou can head over toLittle Lamplight.
Talk toMayor MacCreadyaboutBryan’sunfortunate situation.
If you plan on receiving a negative outcome, you may also sellBryanto theslavers.
In this case you’d have to speak toEulogyinParadise Falls.
Make him an offer and he’ll pay you 100 or 300 bottle caps for deliveringBryanto him.
