Upgrading your weapons is one of the primary ways to increase your team’s strength in Expedition 33.
What are the benefits of upgrading weapons?
Regular weapon upgrades are an integral part of team development.
Some weapons also havespecial passive effects.
They are active only when the character is equipped with a certain weapon.
However, most of them arelocked until the item is upgraded to the indicated level.
This allows to unlock the potential of a given weapon along with subsequent levels.
How to upgrade a weapon?
The following section contains minor spoilers concerning the first hours of the game.
You’ll be able to upgrade weaponsafter finding Maelle and unlocking the Curator.
Talk to the Curator, and thenchoose the option to upgrade a weapon.
Of course, weapon upgrades are not free.
so you can upgrade your equipment, you’ll need so-calledChroma Catalysts.
The basic version of this item allows you to upgrade a weaponup to level 3. you might obtain Chroma Catalysts of various qualityduring detailed exploration of the game world or as loot from enemies.
Some merchants also sell catalysts, which can be purchasedin exchange for chrome.
