How to read the hidden text?

Start by going on the balcony and activate the lemon tree.

Go back to the room where you have started this chapter.

Take the candle stick from the table.

Return to the book and selectBurnish the page with the candle stickoption.

This reveals the text.Note- you’ve got the option to use other options, e.g.

by using ashes collected from the fireplace.Don’t do that because you will destroy a part of the message.

Using the candle stick is the only right choice.

Read the message from mother.

A servant knocks on your door and informs you about the meal.

Go down on the lower floor.

You meet Elizabeth Adams on the stairs:

Bring up her malaise in the salon.

Ask her about her eye.

Ask why she’s interested.

Admit your mother has gone missing.

Say that you know.

Confrontation with Elizabeth Adams

Shortly after that the conversation turns into a confrontation.

The dialog lines listed below will help you win:

Don’t urge her to confide.

Mention her sister.

After that you have to reach the door presented in the picture above.

You participate in a banquet with all other guests of Lord Mortimer.

The Council

Later, Napoleon Bonaparte will want to speak to you in private.

He wants to test your knowledge on armament and politics.

It would need a counter-revolution!

If you win, Bonaparte will give you a book that increases your skills.

You and Napoleon go back to the table to listen to Washington’s speech.

After that the chapter will end.
