This chapter in our guide to Anno 1800 continues the main campaign.
Your colony needs iron to start producing ships and cannons.
Any Old Iron/Moving Mountains
You need iron to develop your colony.
hit the iron deposit nearby and then on the rocks blocking the passage.
you should probably destroy them - this won’t be easy.
Finish the first step of removing the obstacle.
You will need25 planksand25 bricks.
Send 25 farmers to start the works.
The second and the final stage of removing the rocks requires you to, e.g.
free the demolitions expert.
The Demolitions Expert
You need a demolitions expert to remove the rocks.
tap on the mission and you will move to another island.
A dynamite shop is in the north - choose the building and then watch a short cut-scene.
Pay5,000 gold coinsto free the man.
After that, this NPC will be transported to your island.
Industrial Evolution
By destroying the rocks, you get access to iron depots.
This will give you access to even more advanced buildings.
Sadly - the new buildings require more workers.
This means that you have to build more houses and be able to satisfy the needs of your population.
Warfare
When you start producing steel, you will be able to build aWeapon Factory.
This facility allows you to produce cannons.
They are crucial for your fleet.
you’re gonna wanna make three different types of ships: Schooner, Gunboat and Frigate.
Once they are done, move them to Archibald’s port and sell the ships.
Choose one of your ships and sail to the place near the lighthouse.
Your task is to follow the boat by keeping the distance.
Don’t sail too close it.

Soon, you will reach a small cove.
The last objective is to sink the ship and avenge your father’s death.
Father’s Diary/Kashina the Wordly-Wise/The Pyrphorians
Pick up the item left by the destroyed ship.
Read your father’s journal.
Next, move to the lighthouse and then to Archibald.
Give him your father’s journal.
Your expedition will have a few special encounters - you will have to make a decision during them.
You finally reach the New World.
